  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (or mozzarella)
  • 5 slices jalapeno
  • 1 teaspoon Frank’s Red hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon corn extract (this is the secret ingredient that is a must!)
  • pinch salt

Dash Mini Waffle Maker

I’m sure you could use any waffle cooker to prepare this recipe, but I have the best results with this mini waffle iron. I have had it for a few months now and love it. You can purchase it here.


  1. Preheat the mini waffle maker
  2. In a small bowl, whip the egg.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and mix it until it’s well incorporated.
  4. Add a teaspoon of shredded cheese to the waffle maker for 30 seconds before adding the mixture.  This will create a nice and crisp crust that is absolutely fantastic!
  5. Add half the mixture to the preheated waffle maker.
  6. Cook it for a minimum of 3 to 4 minutes.  The longer you cook it the more crispy it gets.
